BOOK REVIEW: 

I stumbled across this book at my local library. It was an impulse loan. I came home and had a look at the overall rating on Goodreads. 

It was not above 4 stars. But, I am a reader who wants to find out for myself and I am so glad I did. Man, peeps on GR are being a bit harsh.

It's a vampire book. 

There is love, biting, lust, villains, loyal friends, sex, some graphic violence due to bad guys, hunters, throw in Claire a hustler and a bit of intrigue for the next book and I thought it was just over a four star read.

There is the Collective which I thought was quite original, not that I have read a squillion vampire reads.

Siobhan is a dhampir leader who is a good guy when it suits her. She's a manipulator. 

The Sortiari are the hunters out to stop the world from co existing with  dhampirs ( the not quite a vampire) and the Last True Vampire , aka Mikhail who when he finds his mate can turn dhampirs into vampires.

Gotta say I have certainly read much, much worse than this book. I dug it and was entertained and I think I have a sense of a good read.

Ronan's book is up next, The Warrior Vampire. I totally dug Ronan in this book, so I am looking forward to seeing what he brings to his story.
